Guest Information

Members and their guests experience the unique ambience of numerous rooms within the club, such as the basement-located Tavern and the Social Room on ground level with its dual open fires, leather lounges, Heidelberg School paintings and irreplaceable Polynesian and Melanesian artefacts. Upstairs is the Third World Bar and Billiards Room, and on the top floor is the Members’ Dining Room.

Smaller meeting and dining rooms can be found throughout the club premises that are available to members for private functions.

So that everyone is able to enjoy fully the Club’s unique atmosphere, mobile phones and electronic devices are not used within the clubhouse.  Also, in keeping with the elegant surrounds of the club, members and their guests are expected to wear a jacket and tie. All guests need to be signed-in by a member. The club is smoke-free.

The Melbourne Savage Club is open to members and their guests between 11:30 am and 6.00 pm Monday – Friday and is situated at 12 Bank Place, Melbourne.
